Important Compatibility Notes
- Compatible with Intel LGA1700 motherboards only . It is not compatible with AMD motherboards or older Intel socket platforms.
- Confirm that your motherboard BIOS supports 12th Gen Intel processors before installation.
- This CPU supports either DDR4 or DDR5, but the memory type is determined by the motherboard. A DDR4 board cannot use DDR5 RAM, and a DDR5 board cannot use DDR4 RAM.
- The i9-12900K includes Intel UHD Graphics 770. Motherboard display outputs can be used when supported and enabled, although a dedicated GPU is recommended for modern gaming and demanding creative workloads.
- This processor does not include a CPU cooler. A high-quality air cooler or liquid cooler is strongly recommended, especially under heavy workloads.
- CPU multiplier overclocking requires a compatible Z-series motherboard, proper cooling, and a quality power supply.
